Online free translation packages are fine for a few words or sentences. Google Translate is one example.
But when you need official translations, especially legal documents, then use an approved translator. Sentence construction, hampered by nuances, makes it easy for the meaning to be lost in translation.
Birth, marriage and death certificates are difficult, particularly as they may be partly hand written.
